Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Luna collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. Luna helps students generate structured academic assignments from uploaded PDFs and form inputs.

Information We Collect

  • Account info: When you create an account with Luna, we collect your basic profile information such as name, email, and authentication credentials to create and manage your account. All authentication data is securely stored and managed through our self-hosted Better Auth system.
  • Assignment inputs: Files you upload (PDFs) and form fields (e.g., university name, subject, pages, cover preferences) used to generate your output.
  • Usage and device info: Basic interaction data to improve reliability and performance. We do not sell your personal data.

How We Use Information

  • Provide and secure access to your dashboard and assignments.
  • Process your uploads to generate assignment content and enable downloads.
  • Improve product functionality, performance, and user experience.
  • Communicate essential service messages (e.g., errors, status).

Cookies and Local Storage

We use cookies and local storage to remember your preferences (e.g., theme) and to store your cookie consent decision. On first visit, we ask you to accept or decline cookies; your decision is saved to local storage and a cookie so we don’t prompt you again. This does not affect core functionality.

Data Sharing

We use a self-hosted authentication system (Better Auth) to manage your account and credentials. All authentication data remains on our infrastructure. We may use third-party service providers to process files and generate outputs. We do not sell your data.

Your Choices

  • Update your account details through your Luna dashboard profile settings.
  • Choose whether to accept or decline cookies on first visit.
